What the tips take
Old units and worktops can go in the wood or general bays at Chester Road in Stretford or Woodhouse Lane in Altrincham. Tiles and broken-up concrete count as rubble, capped at five 900mm by 600mm sacks a visit. Plasterboard is not taken at either Trafford site, so use a site on the plasterboard list such as Longley Lane.
Council collection
Trafford does not publish its full list of collectable items on the bulky page. The list is in the terms you see when you book. Anything booked has to be outside by 6.30am and safe for two people to lift. A cast iron bath is unlikely to pass.
