Who we are
Compare Waste UK is a free comparison and referral service run by Dean Johnson, a sole trader (7 Egerton Walk, Nottingham, NG3 4FW). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at chessking593@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you ask for quotes, we collect your name, phone number, postcode or town, and the type of waste job you have told us about. We also receive the page you used the form on. If you email us, we keep your email address and what you write.
How we use it
- To pass your request to waste companies who may be able to help
- To respond to you if you contact us
- To run, protect and improve the site, and to keep records we need for legal and accounting reasons
We rely on taking steps at your request (to pass on your quote request) and on our legitimate interests in running a referral service.
Who we share it with
We share your details with waste companies in or near your area so they can contact you about your job. Once a company has your details, it is responsible for how it uses them, and its own privacy policy applies. We use a form provider, Formspree, to receive form submissions on our behalf. We do not sell your details to anyone else.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site stores your cookie choice on your device so we do not ask you again. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will only use non-essential cookies if you have accepted them.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to handle your request and to meet our legal and accounting duties, and then we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and object to how we use it. Email us at chessking593@gmail.com and we will respond.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
