Rules worth knowing
- Pick-ups are listed on the Trafford page, but some Greater Manchester pages disagree, so ring before going in one
- No household plasterboard: Longley Lane in Sharston is one site that takes it
- Rubble, hardcore and garden soil: up to five 900mm by 600mm sacks a visit, from your own DIY
- Garden waste must be kept apart from food waste, which no centre takes
Asbestos is not taken here. Cement-bonded asbestos from your own home goes to one of four weighbridges, the nearest being Longley Lane in Sharston and Cobden Street in Salford.
Trafford's other site is Woodhouse Lane in Altrincham. More on both in the Trafford tips guide, and see the free van permit guide if you have a van.
