How Bury counts wardrobes
The Bury bulky collection is £49 for up to five items, but larger items count as several. The council's list gives a double non-mirrored wardrobe as four items and a single non-mirrored wardrobe as two (checked against Bury Council and Recycle for Greater Manchester pages on 2 November 2026). Bury also says items must be left whole, not broken into pieces.
Fitted wardrobes and mirrors
Fitted wardrobes, mirrors and glass items are on Bury's refused list. If you are ripping out built-in furniture, the council collection will not help.
