Council and tips
Bury's bulky page does not mention hot tubs. It does say items must be whole, not in pieces, and left at the front, and that it will not collect from a back garden, where most hot tubs sit (checked against Bury Council and Recycle for Greater Manchester pages on 2 November 2026). Ask on 0161 253 5353 before booking. The Recycle for Greater Manchester recycling guide does not mention hot tubs, so check with Every Street in Bury or Cemetery Road in Radcliffe before taking pieces there.

Get free quotesGetting it ready
- Drain it fully a day or two before
- Have an electrician disconnect a hard-wired tub and make the supply safe
- Measure side gates and paths to the road
- Leave space for a van to park
An inflatable tub is a much smaller job: deflate it, fold it, and the liner, pump and cover may fit in a car.
Choosing a company
Ask whether the price covers cutting it up, carrying it out and disposal, and check their waste carrier licence on the Environment Agency register. Photos of the tub and the route out help get a fixed price.
