Where to take it
Recycle for Greater Manchester takes cement-bonded asbestos from your own home at four weighbridges: Bredbury Parkway in Stockport, Arkwright Street in Oldham, Longley Lane in Sharston and Cobden Street in Salford. Ash Road and Bayley Street do not take it, and asbestos is on Tameside's bulky refused list. Arkwright Street's asbestos times are Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and weekends 7am to 5pm. All four close on 25 and 26 December and 1 January.
