Where it goes
Bolton Council says asbestos must be taken to a waste transfer facility, not the recycling centres. Recycle for Greater Manchester takes cement-bonded asbestos only, from your own home, at four weighbridge sites: Longley Lane (Sharston), Cobden Street (Salford), Arkwright Street (Oldham) and Bredbury Parkway. None of them is in Bolton. Hours differ from the normal tip hours: see asbestos disposal in Manchester for the table.
