What the council says
The council's bulky collection page says commercial waste, including waste from tradespeople, businesses or rental property work, can't use the service and has to go to its two main transfer stations, with payment. Its tips policy names these as Bowling Back Lane and Keighley. Its tips policy says commercial waste of any kind isn't accepted, and that it may challenge the origin of waste if someone visits often or arrives with large volumes. A resident permit is for your own household.
Tenant waste or landlord waste?
A tenant clearing their own belongings is a household matter, and their council routes work as normal. Waste that comes from the landlord's work on the property, such as old carpets, a stripped kitchen or furniture left behind after a tenancy, is the part the council treats as commercial. The council page doesn't spell out every case, so ask it if you are unsure which side your load falls on.
