The council
Tameside's bulky service lists bathroom materials such as baths, toilets and sinks, internal doors and general builders' waste among the things it will not take (checked against Tameside Council and Recycle for Greater Manchester pages on 2 November 2026).
The tips
Old units and worktops from your own DIY can go to Ash Road in Droylsden or Bayley Street in Stalybridge. Tiles and broken concrete count as rubble, five 900mm by 600mm sacks a visit. Household plasterboard only goes to Bayley Street.
