The council and the tips
The council lists furniture, white goods and electricals, TVs and computers, garden furniture and equipment, children's items, mobility aids and household fixtures such as sinks, toilets and radiators. It says the full list appears when you apply. Hot tubs are not on it. The Recycle for Greater Manchester recycling guide does not mention hot tubs either, so ring before taking one, or pieces of one, to Chichester Street or Spring Vale. Rochdale's environmental management team is on 0300 303 8884, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
