Chichester Street and Spring Vale both take fridges and freezers. Clear out any food first, as Recycle for Greater Manchester asks. A working, undamaged fridge can be given to the Renew reuse scheme instead of being scrapped. A tall American fridge freezer in a van may not fit under Spring Vale's 2 metre barrier. See Rochdale tips.
Private collection
If you cannot get it outside by 7am, or your free collections have gone, a licensed company can collect it from the kitchen. As a UK guide, expect roughly £30 to £70.
