Where Craigmillar tip is
Old Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4TB. Craigmillar is on Old Dalkeith Road in the south of the city. It is the one site that does not take vans at all.
Craigmillar opening times
The council gives no fixed hours for Craigmillar. It is normally open seven days a week for booked slots, and you choose a 30 minute slot when you book. Closed on 25 and 26 December 2026 and 1 and 2 January 2027. The rules for all three sites are in the Edinburgh tips guide.

- No vans are allowed at Craigmillar. Cars only
- The council says pedestrian access is suspended here for safety reasons, so on-foot visits are not an option
- Staff will not help you unload, so only bring what you can carry
- Closed 25 and 26 December 2026 and 1 and 2 January 2027
