How to book Coventry tip, and which vans are allowed
Coventry's tip is booking only, and turns away vans that are too big. Here's how to book and the exact size rules, checked against Coventry City Council and CSWDC pages on 27 October 2026.

How to book
- Book on the council's tip booking page, or phone Coventry Direct on 08085 834333. The tip itself can't take bookings
- Give your full address and postcode, what you're bringing, and your vehicle registration
- Keep the reference number. You'll give it when you arrive
- Turn up on time. More than 10 minutes early or late, and you may be asked to come back
Vehicle size rules
Coventry's tip has detailed size rules for vans and trailers:

One line on the council's page also says no trailer over 2.10m, so if your trailer is longer than that, check with the council before you book.
Changing or cancelling
Log in to the council's MyAccount, open My Requests, choose the booking and pick Amend or Cancel.
What to bring
- Proof of a Coventry address: a recent utility bill, council tax bill (printed or online) or driving licence
- Your booking reference
- Gloves and closed shoes
- Only waste you can unload yourself
