Where to take it
Recycle for Greater Manchester takes cement-bonded asbestos only, from your own home, at four weighbridges. Cobden Street in Salford is one. Its asbestos hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 7am to 1pm, closed Sundays and bank holidays. The other three are Longley Lane, Arkwright Street and Bredbury Parkway. All four close on 25 and 26 December and 1 January. The council bulky collection needs a separate quote for asbestos.
